Charsl Ceylon Tea is the family brand of Charsl Ceylon Products (PVT) Ltd. — grown on our own estate in the misty hills of Nuwara Eliya, and made with a belief that great tea should taste of where it grew.
Our story
Our journey began with a dream rooted in family heritage and Sri Lanka's rich tea culture. In 2017, our grandfather carefully imported rare tiny tea leaves and special varieties of Camellia sinensis from China, and lovingly cultivated them on our family estate. Those first tender green leaves came to symbolise hope, dedication and a passion for exceptional tea.
After his passing, our father entrusted us with preserving and growing the estate. In 2020 we opened our artisanal tea factory and proudly introduced the brand Charsl Ceylon Tea.
Our estate rests in the peaceful village of Polgaswatta, in the misty hills of the Nuwara Eliya District. Cool winds and untouched natural beauty give our teas their distinctive character, aroma and freshness — naturally rich in antioxidants, and 100% natural, with no artificial flavours, colours or preservatives.
